Equipment
The blow-molding shop at Lefko boasts high-technology equipment. Our facility is versatile and allows us to manufacture plastic parts in a wide range of sizes and according to any conceivable configuration. We have machines that can mold plastic from 1 lb (450 g) up to 35 lbs (16 kg) in weight in a variety of shapes.
Raw Materials
A full array of plastic resins can be shaped depending on the features needed. We can mold the following resins in addition to many other engineering resins: high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers (ABS), polyamides (nylon). We can also use recycled resins to suit your particular needs.
Lefko further offers possibilities of plastic/polyurethane mixed technologies. For example, in some cases we can inject polyurethane foam inside blow-molded plastic parts that require insulation. The use of PU sometimes reinforces the parts applied to while preserving their lightness.
Finishing
At Lefko we consider the secondary operations, such as assembly, as essential steps in our overall service and these steps receive all the required resources. Our strong points include the cutting of parts with our six-axle robots, as well as the use of machine-tools custom developed internally for certain secondary operations. Thanks to its team of experts and high-technology equipment, Lefko is able to perform complex operations involving overmolding and molding with inserts.
